Not even one year removed from a post-season ban and NCAA sanctions, Larry Brown and SMU captured another big commitment.

SMU’s 2016 recruiting class is arguably the best class since Brown’s arrival in Dallas. With the addition of Bruno Fernando, SMU now has five commitments for the 2016 class.
After losing much of their post game with Markus Kennedy and Jordan Tolbert, Brown will be bringing in two four-star centers, Bruno Fernando and Ted Kapita, and one five-star center in Harry Frolling. SMU will also be adding tthree-star guard Dashawn McDowell and three-star guard Tom Wilson.
To start the 2016 season, SMU will also have guard Ben Emelogu back (medical red shirt), and Semi Ojeleye (Duke transfer). The Mustangs freshman post players will most likely see a lot of playing time considering Ben Moore is the only returning big man for SMU.
SMU’s 2016 recruiting class is ranked 14th in the nation by 247sports.com.
The Mustangs are looking to replace some of the power that they found in Jordan Tolbert and it looks like Fernando might just be that guy. Enjoy.
Despite a disppointing ending to the season, things continue to look up for SMU. Only time will tell how formidable their freshman will be, but with a coach like Brown, the Mustangs will be a very dangerous squad.
